In our cottage a few fairly old, but still interesting magazines were in the closet. In one of them an idea of candles was to pour in Vogelsand. Since we anyway were precisely the sea and there was sand in abundance, I just packed a bag of (wet sand is really hard ....). At home I have then ordered the same wax and wick and could not wait to finally start :-) I am also very satisfied with the result. In order not only to have candles in the sand look, I've tried my hand at muffin candles :-) worked wonderfully and I find them totally cute!
First you look for you a bottle that later determines the shape of your candle. fondant roller machine You must not be wider than the top down. Diestellt her now into a larger container and fill the empty space with wet sand. Firmly press and pull out the bottle carefully. Then you melts the wax granules (or your candles residues) in a small saucepan (possibly even admit color pigments). The wick is immersed in the liquid wax and grade drawn. In order to fix the wick you can down a small screw off nodes. Perhaps you notice even a better way, I fixed the wick with skewers a :-) top. There is also the possibility the wick only later to install. In addition one stands out only with a knitting needle, a hole in the cooled, melted candle, then inserted into the wick and filled again with wax on. But I have not tried. The candle needs a few hours to fully cure. The best just let stand overnight. Then you can simply pour the candle and free :-) remove the excess sand with a brush and possibly level the area something the whole vessel. Done. The sand can take her time and again.
The Muffinpapierchen I first brushed with oil so that the wax dissolves well. Perhaps that would be but not nötig.Hier again dip the wick into the liquid wax and attached to a skewer. In the center lay the ramekins and fill with wax. Allow to cool and remove the paper. The wars :-)
